Welcome Back

I am excited to be back with my blog and so pleased to see that my domain was still intact.  I shared with Dean my idea to get the blog back up and running so we could chronicle the building process of the Fresh New Farmhouse and our family.  It is a good time to take on this endeavor, it may sound a bit silly to call casual blogging an endeavor, but to a homeschooling mother of four such is the case for me.  If I am going to take the time and effort to do something I would like it to be done well.  So I recognize I am ignorant of all the ins and outs of the blog world and may need to pause to take a crash course in Blogging 101-or not.
One of my biggest challenges will be periodically reminding myself of why I am doing this and then to keep that focus. The kids are getting bigger and more self-sufficient now.  We are also entering Summertime so this seems do-able.
I hope to be able to help Brooklyn get her own blog going as well.  She really enjoys writing and photography so it will be good experience with some fun thrown in.
I am so eager to get started!

Here is a sneak peek at the Fresh New Farmhouse I mentioned earlier.  This photo is courtesy of Houseplans.com and Nicolas Lee

This is another photo of what the finished product will more likely represent.  The garage will be attached by a breezeway.

We were finally able to get the pad prepared and are now awaiting a few more bids, lending and the glorious day when our slab is poured-speaking of poured has anyone noticed we have been in the worst drought in 365 years and then suddenly when we are ready to break ground it begins to POUR!

I will have our actual floor plans up soon, we changed ours up quite a bit from the original.  I can not wait to call this place home.

Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.         Proverbs 24:27
