My Easter Blesssings

First and foremost Easter is a time to be reminded that Jesus is ALIVE.    He is no longer in the tomb but is alive in the hearts of believers.  As I write I can't help but sing that old Hymn "He Lives".  Easter is also a sweet time for my children.  While they are now aware that the Easter Bunny is non existent (really a relief to Jake as the whole idea of it all was a bit disturbing to him), we do still make a big deal of baskets & eggs & candy.  Here in Oklahoma the weather was very rainy and a bit chilly so there was no egg hunt, next year perhaps.   Something I always enjoy is putting together their Easter outfits year after year.  The ensemble was pretty simple but I liked it.  This year our church hosted a pancake breakfast for members and the community  held by the Deacons.  That meant Dean of course, so we rode in separate  cars and didn't end up meeting up until after the service.  Brooklyn was consumed with finding her Daddy (well I sort of was too), but sooner rather than later, after I had reminded myself, I reminded her that we were there to honor God and He would not want us to worry about Daddy.  Little did we know that he (Daddy, not God) was standing behind us the entire time!

  1. Paw-Paw and Ma-Maw always looks forward in our Grandbabies coming to the country. They love it out there. They can run, ride their motorized vehicles and swing on their swingset(Paw-Paw spent many hours putting together a fort with a playhouse, slide, swings and monkey bars)and also their pride and joy are their horses. Maybe in a couple of more years they will be able to ride by themselves. Needless to say, they get really dirty when Dad and Mom aren't with them. They LOVE it!!!
